Michelle Barton oversees all corporate assets for Blue Federal Credit Union, a financial
enterprise consisting of around 400 employees, 27 facilities, and 74+ years of service. Her job is to maximize efficiency in their office machinery - because a company of their size needs the best copiers, printers, and mail equipment to succeed in their everyday
operations.
The challenge became apparent for Michelle shortly after getting hired and moving into their beautiful new building in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The fast-growing company found itself needing a mass mailing function, meaning their longtime method of manual letter folding, inserting, and stamping wasn’t going to cut it. During the move, Michelle took stock of
BlueFCU’s current fleet of machinery and made a key discovery: a letter folder from ACP
that no one had been using. One phone call later to ACP to ask a quick question about the
device, and the company’s entire workflow would change for the better.
The friendly, knowledgeable representative introduced Michelle to ACP’s product line as he sent over a technician for an in-depth, in-person demonstration on the letter folder.
The technician also set up a brand new postage meter base for her team.
“He was super helpful. He walked me through all of it, showed me how to clean it, and put it back together”, she said about the technician and her new equipment. “When you’re working with someone in the service industry, it’s nice that they teach you some of those shortcuts so you don’t have to call your service guy for everything. So that stood out to me.”
But when she does have questions, she gets an answer back within 24 hours. It was this service in addition to the level of products that seamlessly allowed Michelle to let BlueFCU snowball their partnership with ACP into an entire copier fleet, IT service team, and now-automatic paper mailing system that can fold, insert and stamp around 50 letters at a time. “Just the level of equipment and the level of service has really increased since we moved all of our equipment to under the ACP umbrella”, she reflected. Today, all 27 of their facilities are furnished with ACP copiers and mailing devices.
“If you don’t have well-functioning machines inside, you’re not going to grow. And BlueFCU continues to grow every year,” said Michelle. Thanks to ACP’s ability to not only match their voluminous mailing and copying needs but also keep up with rapid expansion, Michelle doesn’t have to worry about whether their corporate asset setup will prevent them from reaching their company goals. Now, BlueFCU can now set their sights as high as they want and keep growing each and every year.
